Welcome to Jordan! Today we will meet you upon your arrival at Queen Alia International Airport and assist you with your visa to Jordan, and then walk with you outside the airport to meet our private driver.
From here, we’ll continue to Amman for dinner and overnight at our hotel. We know you’re probably tired from flying, so we’ll keep the itinerary light today.
Meals: D
Hotel: W Hotel Amman
After breakfast at our hotel, we will meet our driver and tour guide at 8:30 a.m. to start our Amman City Tour.
We’ll be exploring the Citadel and the Roman Theatre in downtown Amman, both sites that you absolutely cannot miss while visiting Amman. Depending on the time of day, you may also hear the sounds of the call to prayer, echoing from the many mosques in the city and bouncing off the hills.
Next, we’ll visit Jordan Rivers Design, a women-owned cooperative started by Queen Alia, to shop for beautiful handmade artifacts.
Later, we’ll have lunch at a women’s co-operative, Iraq El-Amir. Here, we’ll choose a group activity for the afternoon – ceramics, organic paper making, weaving, or traditional food sampling “Mazze”.
Afterwards, we’ll return to the hotel for some downtime. Dinner tonight as a group.
Meals: B, L, D
Hotel: W Hotel Amman
Today we’ll check out of the hotel and take a 1-hr drive to Jerash, the site of a former Roman empire, for a guided tour, followed by lunch at Beit Khairat Souf with authentic Jordanian dishes.
Then, we’ll head to Madaba, “The City of Mosaics” where we will explore the St. George Church of the 6th century A.D. and enjoy the Mosaics of the Holy Land Map.
After a short drive, we arrive at Mount Nebo to retrace with our tour guide the steps of Prophet Moses. A memorial in Moses’ honor can be found at the entrance to the early Byzantine Christian church where Moses is believed to have died. Here, we will admire the spectacular view of the Promised Land just as he would have over 2,000 years before. On a clear day, Jerusalem, Jericho, and the Dead Sea can be seen.
Afterwards, we’ll check into our luxury hotel at the Dead Sea.
Meals: B, L, D
Hotel: Movenpic Marriott
We’re in such a beautiful place, so today is yours to just chill and enjoy. Spend your day at the spa, float in the Dead Sea, or soak up the views from the resort’s many infinity pools.
There is a lot to see and do in Jordan, but this is also your vacation — enjoy this relaxing day to unwind in the most gorgeous of places.
Lunch and dinner are on your own today and at your leisure, as there are many restaurants on-property to choose from.

In the morning we will have breakfast at our Dead Sea hotel and then check out to begin today’s adventure. We will drive (1.5 hrs) towards the ancient crusader castle in Kerak to explore the maze of stone-vaulted halls and passageways.
The city of Kerak was the capital of Moab and the castle dominates the skyline. The castle provides an impressive insight into the architectural and military skills of the Crusaders.
After, we’ll enjoy a traditional Mansaf meal at a local restaurant in Kerak before continuing on the Desert Highway to Aqaba, where we’ll check in to our hotel.
Meals: B, L, D
Hotel: Intercontinental Aqaba
After an early breakfast at the hotel, we’ll take a short city tour and explore the downtown Aqaba spice market – a great place to stock up on spices you’d never find at home!
Next we’ll get out on the Red Sea and relax in style on board a 3-hour private chartered boat cruise with a BBQ lunch included.
Then we’ll head back to the hotel, and you’ll have the rest of the afternoon/evening at your leisure.

Hotel: Intercontinental Aqaba
After a free morning in Aqaba, we’ll check out of our hotel and drive to Wadi Rum (1 hr), a nature reserve that honestly looks like Mars (no wonder it’s been the set of movies from Star Wars to the Martian!)
Today, we’ll have lunch at the Disi Women Cooperative Society and then check into our Wadi Rum camp, called Desert Season. In the afternoon if you’re interested, we can arrange for an optional camel ride in the desert (+$35).
At sunset, we’ll take a wilderness adventure on a 4 x 4 jeep tour of Wadi Rum, following in the footsteps of Lawrence of Arabia, climbing sand dunes and rock bridges.
Our camp tonight is in the middle of the desert, which will give you the chance to gaze at the stars in the night sky whilst enjoying the legendary hospitality of the Bedouin, before sleeping at the foot of the awesome mountains exploding out from the desert landscape.
Meals: B, L, D

After an early breakfast and checking out of our bubble tents in Wadi Rum, we’ll begin our (1.5hr) drive to Petra, one of the 7 wonders of the world!
We’ll have a full-day, guided site visit to Petra including a buffet lunch at the Basin Restaurant within Petra.
You’ll also have time on your own today to hike to the Monastery, walk around to different points of interest, and enjoy this stunning wonder however you would like. Marvel at the beauty of the Lost City, the Red Rose City of Petra, exploring its many caves and tombs. Walk through the canyon and be astounded at the magnificent Treasury, the entrance guarding the ancient Nabatean city.
In the afternoon, the group will meet back up and check-in to our hotel.
After dinner at the hotel, we’ll enjoy something very special: seeing Petra at night, lit only by the light of a thousand candles. It’s so magical and perfect it just might make you cry!
This is a special experience that only happens on certain days of the week, but we made sure to time this tour just right to give you that opportunity.
Back to the hotel for final overnight in Petra.
Meals: B, L, D
Hotel: Petra Guesthouse Hotel
We’re up early today in order to get back to Amman, but first, we’ll grab a boxed breakfast from the hotel to enjoy on our 3-hour drive to the Amman Airport, arriving by 9am. Our tour officially concludes at the Amman airport, so please ensure you will have enough time to catch your international connection if you are leaving today. (We recommend at least 2-3 hours.)
It’s been such an awesome time, and we’re sad this tour has to end. But what an adventure! We know you’ll remember it for years to come.

I just returned from the Damesly Jordan trip. To describe it in one word…..AMAZING! The trip was well organized from start to finish. We had a wonderful trip leader, Timathea, and local English-speaking guide, Fadi. The women on the trip were very friendly. The hotels and restaurants were included in the trip cost and were top-notch. We swam in the Dead Sea and the Red Sea, and visited the Citadel, Madaba (mosaics), Petra (one of the 7 wonders of the world), Wadi Rum (desert) and many other amazing places. We rode camels!!! And, of course, we went SHOPPING! We even bought spices from a local place in Aqaba (Red Sea). I can’t say enough good things about this trip. I felt safe and comfortable the entire time. Jordan is a wonderful, modern country with friendly people. If you are even thinking about this trip or any other Damesly trip, I say GO for it!

Wow- what a beautiful country with so much to see from the ruins of civilizations past to the profound beauty of all the nature. Wadi Rum was other worldly amazing. This Damesly led adventure was a great way to delve into the experience and see all Jordan had to offer. This having been my first tour, I was a bit hesitant about the experience but from the first moment meeting our guide (Fadi) and our lead (Timi), I knew we were in good hands. They made the experience easy, fun and took care of all the details, including our requests along the way. I’m already daydreaming about returning to Jordan and planning my next Damesly adventure!

Our guides were professional, knowledgeable and attentive. Accommodations were fantastic and I can’t say enough about the delectable food. So many activities, such a beautiful and safe country. One word, MAGICAL destination !!!!
