Afterwards, we’ll head to the boat and get to know one another better over snacks and cocktails. We’ll leave the harbor at 6 p.m. for a quick cruise around the water, before finding a beach to dock on for the evening.
This evening we’ll cookout on our grill as we get to know one another and our businesses better.
This morning, after breakfast, we will begin discussing the basics of PR. Over a 2-hour workshop, you’ll learn how to best find sources to pitch, specific to your business and what you’re doing.
We’ll offer up ideas that you are free to utilize for your business, including: hosting potential events, collaborating with other businesses in our community, and how to grow and work your network like a pro.
We’ll break to have a quick swim, and then will meet for lunch.
After lunch, we’ll fire up the houseboat and continue moving along Lake Powell, which is home to over 200 slot canyons.
Tonight, we’ll find a beach to dock, and will take in the stars from our jacuzzi.
Dinner tonight will be a cookout.

Today after breakfast we’ll host another workshop, this time on how to actually write a press release. We will also discuss how to target media, and how to write pitches specific to that media that have a high chance of turning into articles promoting you and your business.
How do you approach with a cold call or email? When is appropriate for following up? What makes your business irresistible to press?
Today’s workshop will arm you with all of this knowledge and more.
This afternoon, we’ll have fun in the sun before returning to our main dock in Page. We will also aim to explore Rainbow Bridge, a famous land bridge in the area, on our return.
Dinner on the boat.
