Day 1: Athens

Welcome to Athens! Today we will meet you upon your arrival at Athens Airport - Eleftherios Venizelos International Airport(ATH) and transfer to the hotel.

Take a beat to get settled in after the long flight, and we’ll meet up in the evening for a group dinner.

Meals: D

Hotel: New Hotel

Day 2: Athens to Santorini

After breakfast at the hotel, we’ll check-out and head to the airport for our morning flight (11 am) to beautiful Santorini.

It's Easter Sunday, so we're having a special celebration not many visitors get to experience!

Upon arrival in Santorini, we'll head to a local taverna in one of the island's picturesque small villages for a traditional lunch celebration. We'll feast on slow-cooked lamb, cooked on a spit for over six hours, and enjoy a wide range of other Greek dishes, as well. We'll also enjoy Greek music and dance together as the Greeks do on this day.

After lunch, private transfer to the hotel and overnight in Santorini.

Dinner is on your own tonight, but the hotel has a lovely restaurant on-site, and there are many other options in Oia nearby.

Meals: B, L

Hotel: Mr. & Mrs. White

Day 3: Santorini - Local Wine Tasting + Cooking Class

Wake up refreshed and enjoy a leisurely morning at our luxurious, cliffside hotel. Grab breakfast and chill poolside while taking in stunning views of the deep blue Aegean Sea and the spectacular Caldera gulf.

This afternoon, we’ll head to a local wine estate for an early-afternoon wine tasting and cooking class. You’ll prepare an authentic Santorinian feast, beginning with a local salad of cherry tomatoes, katsouni (an indigenous cucumber), and fresh goat cheese and onions. Continue with “tomatokeftedes” (fresh tomato fritters), fava split pea puree - a locally renowned dish, and pork filet in vinsanto wine sauce… all in a picture-perfect vineyard at one of Santorini’s quaint wine estates. The picturesque verandas and the restaurant’s main area are the ideal place to savor your delicious meal and flawlessly pair it with the volcanic wines of the estate. A truly authentic and unforgettable experience.

Afterwards you can rest back at the hotel, or choose to take a short walk into the idyllic Oia village to check out its charming shops and restaurants. Oia is known for its picturesque architecture, stone + white-washed atmosphere, and its brilliant sunsets.

Day 4: Santorini - Sunset Catamaran Cruise

Today you’ll have the morning at your leisure. After breakfast by the pool, you can choose to do yoga with the group, book a hike or horseback-ride with the hotel (additional $), or do a little shopping in Oia village.

In the early afternoon we’ll set sail on a private sunset catamaran cruise.

All aboard, as you embark on an unforgettable journey around the Caldera, take in the views of the ancient island of Thira (today also known as Santorini). Our journey begins from Oia and the picturesque Ammoudi bay. Our first stop is in Thirassia island for a refreshing swim and snorkeling. Afterward, we’ll continue towards the volcano and the Hot Springs. We will have the chance to sail close to the impressive Black Rock of the Indian, the White Beach, and Red Beach. As you sail along the stunning coastline, you can’t help but be charmed by the unique view of the Caldera and the spectacular colors of the most famous sunset. As the night falls, enjoy an open bar with local wines and a scrumptious dinner served on board.

Overnight back at the hotel.

Day 5: Santorini to Herakleion, Crete

This morning after breakfast, we'll discover the ancient ruins of Akrotiri - the "Pompeii of Santorini" - with a local archaeologist.

Everyone knows about the tragic ending of Pompeii, but before Pompeii was Santorini and the tragic beginning of this world-famous island. We'll learn all about its fascinating history, including how the breathtaking caldera views were created by one of the largest and most violent volcanic eruptions in history, almost 3,600 years ago.

After our tour, we'll stop for lunch in Santorini before being picked up and transferred to port. We’ll take a 2-hour ferry ride to Heraklion, the largest city and capital of Crete.

Upon arrival, we’ll check into our 5-star resort on a quiet peninsula and unwind before having dinner as a group at the hotel.

Meals: B, L, D

Hotel: Minos Palace

Day 6: Crete - Women’s Village Co-op + Agios Nikolaos

After breakfast at the resort, we’ll head out for a full-day experience in Crete.

Our morning departure starts with a trip to the stunning scenic village of Kritsa, built amphitheatrically into the hills. In addition to its charming appeal, this village is known for its strong women and a famous Greek heroine named Kritsotopoula who fought off Turkish invaders.

Here, we’ll visit a local female boutique owner who will share some information on clothing and jewelry from local Greek designers with an opportunity to shop and browse the village. We’ll also be able to take part in a weaving workshop and visit the nature museum, as well.

After a shared meal with the local women’s cooperative, we’ll continue on to Agios Nikolaos itself for shopping opportunities at some of our favorite local shops that sell Greek skin-care, apparel, and accessories.

After a long day out, we’ll head back to the hotel to rest.

Day 7: Crete to Athens

This morning after breakfast, we're flying back to Athens for our special Acropolis experience!

Our flight from Crete to Athens will arrive just after noon, and we'll drop our luggage at the hotel before heading to a local restaurant for lunch.

After lunch, we'll transfer to the Acropolis and begin our goddess-inspired tour of the Acropolis (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) and museum. In this special tour we'll focus on the women of Greek antiquity and their role in society.

Tonight, we’ll have our final dinner at a nearby rooftop restaurant with a stunning view of the Acropolis.
