Wow- what a beautiful country with so much to see from the ruins of civilizations past to the profound beauty of all the nature. Wadi Rum was other worldly amazing. This Damesly led adventure was a great way to delve into the experience and see all Jordan had to offer. This having been my first tour, I was a bit hesitant about the experience but from the first moment meeting our guide (Fadi) and our lead (Timi), I knew we were in good hands. They made the experience easy, fun and took care of all the details, including our requests along the way. I'm already daydreaming about returning to Jordan and planning my next Damesly adventure!

I recently returned from the November 2023 trip to Egypt with Damesly. What an awesome trip! Our trip leader, Alexis, and our local guide, Marwan, were both amazing. It’s hard to believe how much we saw, and did during our trip…the pyramids, riding camels, the Sphinx, the Sahara desert, different temples and museums, walking inside a pyramid, visiting a Nubian village, and much more. We visited local carpet makers and stone craftsmen. And, of course, there was great shopping. We even went on a 3-day cruise on the Nile, where we got to relax by the pool, enjoy the beautiful views and experience first class food and service. All the accommodations and food were exceptional. I especially liked the local restaurants. Everything was top-notch. My fellow travelers in our group were wonderful. And we all felt safe and cared for. I am still in awe of Egypt.

My trip to Cuba with Damesly in January 2023 was magical. Cuba is a beautiful country with proud people who are friendly and hospitable. The experience was unforgettable. All the accommodations and food were amazing, and completely safe. We saw old and new Havana, Trinidad and more. We rode horses, did an optional zip line and went to the beach. We also donated goods. Great bunch of ladies on the trip too!

I just returned from Damesly’s Morocco trip (Sep 2022). This was my second AWESOME trip with Damesly. All meals and entrance fees were included, except for 3 lunches and one optional mosque inside tour, in the very reasonably priced trip. All the hotels were first class. The last riad where we stayed was breathtaking in every corner you looked and they had a top-notch spa. We did have some long trips in the comfortable, air-conditioned van but it was well worth it to see all the cities and sites. My favorite city was ChefChaoen, the “blue city”. There are pictures all over the internet about it but seeing it in person; well, is surreal. We also had a relaxing pool afternoon, many shopping opportunities to buy beautiful things at bargain prices, as well as seeing monkeys, trees, landscapes, the amazing Sahara Desert by camel and by 4x4 (OMG fun! fun! fun!), and more. I loved having the chance to see the Moroccan people in their daily lives through our visits to local markets. I felt completely safe the entire time we were there. Moreover, we had Damesly’s CEO, Kelly Lewis, as our trip leader. She is as kind and helpful as she is knowledgeable. She made the trip extra special. I can’t wait to go on the Cuba trip in January with Damesly.

I just returned from the Damesly Jordan trip. To describe it in one word…..AMAZING! The trip was well organized from start to finish. We had a wonderful trip leader, Timathea, and local English-speaking guide, Fadi. The women on the trip were very friendly. The hotels and restaurants were included in the trip cost and were top-notch. We swam in the Dead Sea and the Red Sea, and visited the Citadel, Madaba (mosaics), Petra (one of the 7 wonders of the world), Wadi Rum (desert) and many other amazing places. We rode camels!!! And, of course, we went SHOPPING! We even bought spices from a local place in Aqaba (Red Sea). I can’t say enough good things about this trip. I felt safe and comfortable the entire time. Jordan is a wonderful, modern country with friendly people. If you are even thinking about this trip or any other Damesly trip, I say GO for it!

I just finished this tour several days ago, and I can highly recommend it! I've never felt so taken care of before. The tour is so well organized that you don't have to worry about anything except learning, or re-learning, how to take pictures in manual mode on your dSLR. I was a bit nervous about meeting up with other women that I didn't know beforehand, but it worked out really well. All the other women were kind, interesting, and a pleasure to hang out with. I enjoyed this tour so much, I'm looking forward to the sequel!

Did the Egypt tour with 5 girlfriends (part of a group of 11 amazing women) and it was as close to perfect as it could have been. Every detail from regional flights to entry tickets to tips all taken care of. For a woman who normally has to organize every element of family and work, it was so wonderful to be so taken care of. Amazing hotels, local food, friendly and competant leaders. Home with a full heart and feeling very grateful.

Every day was better than the last. Starting with the Pyramids, and ending in Luxor, our guides, Kelly and Anton, left me wanting more Egypt, more history, and more female energy in my life. This was my first group trip, and first time to Africa. Never would I have imagined enjoying spending all my days and nights with strangers, but the group quickly became friends with whom I hope to maintain relationships for many years. Highlights of the trip included Anton's knowledgeable tours of the Pyramids, museums, and temples, swimming in the Nile and drinking the best coffee I've ever had at a local Nubian spot, eating delicious local foods, and replenishing my energy after exploring in luxurious pools that Kelly ensured were available at every accommodation. What was also impressive was the extent to which Damesly ensured our safety during COVID. I felt safer in Egypt then at home, which was a feat. This was a life changing trip that I recommend to any woman, even those like me who never imagined traveling to Egypt. Anton individualizes the trip to make sure Damesly guests get to see and experience what is most important to them, even going so far as to help me get pigeon after the official tour was over. Thank you Kelly and Damesly, I can't wait for my next trip with you!

I just returned from the Arizona Cameras and Canyons trip, and all I can say is "wow"! I had been to the Grand Canyon before and was less than impressed, but I stand corrected after visiting with Damesly. Pre-trip preparation was thorough and everything was handled seamlessly. Our trip leader/photographer, Allie, was the absolute best- super helpful with composition tips and open to helping with camera settings or giving feedback on photos. She also arranged a pajama In-N-Out Burger party for some of us on our last night, which was super fun! I am a Midwesterner and had never had it before, but we're going to need to get it in MN because I'm now a convert. Damesly/Kelly thought of everything on this trip, and I wouldn't hesitate to book another trip with them in the future (in fact, I already have!).

I did this tour in 2017 with the wonderful Damelsy team! It was an amazing start to my USA trip and has left me with many lasting memories. The whole tour was wonderfully organised and the experience felt so personalised and tailored to the group. We had Jaye Callahan as our photographer and she was also amazing and full of helpful tips and knowledge. I would recommend this tour for anyone wanting to improve their photography skills and experience some truly beautiful locations. Can't wait to join another Damesly adventure! I had an amazing experience in Denver as part of the Riding and Writing 2018 group! From the very beginning, and because of our small group, I knew the trip would be vastly different from any other travel experience. Small things like donuts in the park and sharing a laugh while eating ice cream – we did a lot of eating! But more than that, we got honest and real, and for me as an introvert, this is always a challenge. Our writing guide Lindsay helped us think critically when it came to our goals about our writing and she made no judgements about where we were on our journey – even if we hadn’t started. In a season of my life when I needed to just be, this trip gave me time and space to do that. I was fully present and I’ll never forget the experience. I would highly recommend traveling with Kelly!

Thanks to the generosity of my son-in-law and the remarkable research skills of my daughter, “Damesly” was found and a long-time dream was fulfilled. My Damesly Tour to Cuba will be a cherished memory for the rest of my life. Experiencing, first hand, the Cuban culture, music, food, drinks, architecture, history, ecology, and the PEOPLE was more than I imagined...very enlightening, exciting, and FUN. The other eleven participants, women from all over the US, were young, enthusiastic, and savvy world travelers. I felt privileged to be among them. Our two local guides were extraordinary, providing us with information, both historical and immediate, responding to all questions about the revolution and current life in Cuba. Our two Damesly guides went beyond expectations of seeing to our needs and comfort. I had no idea how much fun I would have. At age 81, being on a tour with other seniors would have been interesting, but I would have missed so much. I had some anxieties being with a group so much younger. Would I be able to keep up? The unexpected delight with this group was the total non-judgmental freedom I experienced. I was enraptured by the music and the people, and felt completely free to express my delight. I laughed so hard. It was truly cathartic. James, Laurence, and Kelly you made a dream come true! Thank you.

The trip was great!! There were activities for everyone. From walking tours of cities, going to a tobacco farm and horseback riding, dancing in a club in a cave (seriously), along with other activities. One could skip part of the itinerary if they wanted to do so if one needed a break. Finally, everyone who went was friendly and seemed to enjoy the trip. This was my first experience with group travel, and I am happy I took the leap to try something new.

Cuba was a complex and fascinating country. The people are wonderful, the food delicious and the saying, "Don't try to understand Cuba" holds very true. I jumped on this trip last minute due to a cancellation so went fairly unprepared. The Damesly team had a very packed schedule but it did have time for chilling out or going shopping, rum tasting (in my case) or checking out museums. The city and it's people are extremely photogenic. Take a good camera. Our Cuban guide, Lidyz was AMAZING! She was extremely knowledgeable and answered any and all questions. She has a great network of people she works with in Cuba to help you have an excellent experience. The packing list was a bit light of information, in my opinion and make sure you get lots of coins for the toilets. I would go with a very open mind, drop the need for your creature comforts and enjoy the lack of internet. Salute!

I am very particular about how I travel and who I travel with. I want immersive experiences that blend adventure with the ability to learn. I want to be with people who are kind and vibrant and eager to engage with the local community. I want to be with women who understand the challenges of a work-heavy day-to-day life and relish the opportunity to get outside it for a minute. I found Damesly through a randomly specific Google search. When I got to their site and read the Damesly Difference, I knew these were my people. I was in!

My first trip with Damesly was to Cuba and it exceeded my expectations. The logistics and communications were flawless, which was critical in a complex destination like Cuba. The cultural experience was mind-blowing; more than I could have imagined! What a beautiful country!! And the people...they were everything. I made new lifelong friends in our local host and other women on the trip who I'm already planning to travel to see again.

Thank you Damesly for being you and providing such rewarding experiences!

I just returned from a week in Cuba and all I can say is WOW. The country is so vibrant and unique... it truly is like traveling back in time. We experienced things on this tour that most people will never get to see. And to do it with such an amazing group of women was icing on the cake. We formed friendships that will last a lifetime. My stomach still hurts from laughing so much. The trip itself was very well organized and fit so much into a week while still allowing for free time. Our trip guides were the best. They transferred money for us and translated the language for us. It would have been really overwhelming without them! They made everything easy so we could sit back, relax and enjoy every minute of the trip. I would highly recommend this trip. Can't wait for my next trip with Damesly!

Traveled thru Egypt with the Damesly group and was blown away by the thoughtfulness, depth of expertise on all things Egyptian (history, culture, food) and all of the little touches that make a trip, a full-blown experience. Also, loved traveling with an all women group (my first time) where I was traveling solo (my first time since my 20s), and leaving the kids, work, and responsibilities behind! Highly recommend for anyone (from adventurer to unsure traveler). With Damesly you are in the best of hands.

Egypt is hands down one of the best trips I have ever been on and Damesly made this possible. We started in Cairo and made our way to Aswan, and then Luxor. We saw so many things in the 10 days we were there. Kelly joined us on the trip and she had Jeff who was essentially our guide take care of everything. He was incredibly kind, thoughtful, extremely excited and interested in all Egypt had to offer, and made sure to give us all of his Egypt history knowledge throughout the trip. His presence made this trip magical and unforgettable!! We had great accommodations and a very comfortable van to travel around in from day to day. I felt incredibly safe the entire time I was there and since Jeff spoke the language clearly he was invaluable in making this trip what it was. We did the Nile boat cruise for two days and my friend and I had spent some time on the Nile while in Uganda, so the only thing we even thought about doing differently was perhaps replacing that time with going to Alexandria or the Red Sea in place of the boat cruise, otherwise IO wouldn't have changed a thing! The hot air balloon ride in Luxor is a must!! Every site we saw was incredible. Of course the pyramids were astounding!! We saw temples at sunrise, sunset, the middle of day, and at night. Kelly was very flexible with us as well and we were able to change some things around and make it our own trip. That was greatly appreciated!! Kelly and Jeff worked very hard to create an itinerary that wowed us! I am so grateful for Kelly and Jeff for making this trip to Egypt one that I will never forget!!! I cannot wait to travel with them again:) If anyone is considering joining for this trip next year, feel free to email me anytime!! I am happy to answer any questions about Egypt or this trip specifically, because everyone should go if they are able!! Email me anytime!! (krystle.n.lange@gmail.com) You will not be disappointed. If you want to travel, Damesly is the place to go to find your dream travel destination and make it a very unique experience!

REVIEW OF DAMESLY TRIP TO THE REPUBLIC OF GEORGIA: (May 2023) I recently embarked on an unforgettable trip to the Republic of Georgia with Damesly, and it was an absolute blast from start to finish! From driving a vehicle through the middle of hundreds of sheep in the road to riding in a Land Rover across a raging river to seeing some of the most magnificent mountains in the world – The Republic of Georgia is one of the most amazing countries I have ever visited! What made this trip truly extraordinary was the exceptional service and guidance provided by our private guide and driver that Damesly provided and the fabulous itinerary that Kelly had researched and created! From exploring beautiful wineries – most that were owned by women, to discovering the breathtaking sites scattered throughout the country; every moment was filled with laughter, adventure, and wonderful memories. First and foremost, the personalized approach of Damesly made this trip feel like a unique experience tailored specifically for our group. Our guide was not only knowledgeable and professional but also understood the essence of a girls' trip. Right from the beginning, it was evident that Damesly had gone above and beyond to design an itinerary that perfectly blended the best of Georgia's wineries and scenic attractions with a fun and relaxed atmosphere – a unique tour that allowed for spontaneity. The winery visits were an absolute highlight of our journey. We had the opportunity to taste a wide variety of Georgian wines and learn about their rich history and traditional winemaking techniques. We also had some of the most special homemade Georgian lunches at the homes of these vineyard owners. Our guide, who had an impressive understanding of the local wine culture, and who was friends with the various vineyard owners, made the experience even more enjoyable by sharing interesting anecdotes and facilitating engaging conversations with the winemakers themselves. It was a true delight for wine enthusiasts and novices alike (I’m the novice). In addition to the wineries, we were taken to numerous beautiful sites around the country, each more awe-inspiring than the last. From the stunning landscapes of the Kazbegi region to the charming streets of Tbilisi, every destination showcased the diverse beauty and cultural heritage of Georgia. Our guide's expertise and passion for the country were evident in the seamless way he navigated us through each location, ensuring that we didn't miss any hidden gems along the way. What truly set this trip apart was the warm and welcoming atmosphere created for us. It didn't feel like a typical guided tour; instead, it felt like a girls' getaway with a friend who knew the best spots and the best stories. Kelly’s vibrant personality, sense of humor, and ability to create an inclusive environment made the trip incredibly enjoyable for everyone in our group. We laughed, we shared stories, and we created lasting friendships along the way. I cannot praise Damesly enough for their attention to detail and their commitment to ensuring that our trip was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we arrived until our departure, everything was flawlessly organized, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the experience without any worries or logistical concerns. If you're looking for an exceptional women’s tour with a perfect balance of adventure, relaxation, and cultural exploration, I highly recommend choosing Damesly as your tour company. Their knowledgeable guides, personalized itineraries, and emphasis on creating a fun and inclusive environment will guarantee a trip filled with laughter, unforgettable memories, and new life-long friendships. Georgia's wineries and beautiful sites are waiting to be discovered, and Damesly will ensure that you have the time of your life exploring this truly remarkable country. Thank you, Damesly, for an extraordinary trip that exceeded all my expectations. I can't wait to embark on another adventure with you in the future! Very soon I hope!! Gena Gerdin

I thoroughly enjoyed my Damesly tour of Greece from start to finish. Everything was thoughtfully planned and I definitely got to have experiences I wouldn't have had if I'd planned my own trip - a cooking class at a vineyard in Santorini and meeting a women's co-op in a village in Crete were among the highlights. Incredible trip! We covered a lot of ground, getting to see so many things and have so many different experiences without ever feeling too rushed. (There were a few early mornings, yes, but to get to see the sunrise over the Valley of the Kings from a hot air balloon—worth it!!) I usually travel on my own, but it was 100% worth it to go with Damesly for this trip—I never had to worry about my safety or how I was going to get around... not to mention how much more rich the experience was with our own personal local guide who had so much knowledge to share about both ancient and modern Egypt! (And, a huge help to me personally, he was able to explain what “vegetarian” was to our servers at all the delicious local restaurants he took us to!) Anton brought us to places I never would have known about or have been able to find on my own, which made the trip so special. He is an absolute gem!! The group size is small, which made us much more nimble than the groups on the big tour buses, and making connections among the group was a focus, which made the trip much more than the sum of its parts. I was so sad to leave all my new friends at that end of the trip, and I plan to travel with Damesly again!

Uzbekistan was an absolute dream location to visit. I learned so much about this beautiful country and was honored to see it through the eyes of a local. Unique to Damesly, we also visited women-owned and run companies where we bought the most beautiful ikat clothing. This tour is a 10/10 and I hope many more women can go witness its beauty. Additionally, I added Georgia to this trip which Damesly coordinated. Very much worth the add-on if you have the time!

My trip to Morocco with Damesly in October 2023 was EPIC! I started with a blank passport and a world of opportunities in front of me, but a referral from a someone I trusted gave me the courage to bring my dreams to life through Damesly. I chose Morocco because I have always been intrigued by a photograph taken in 1972 of my maternal grandmother sitting atop a camel in Morocco. I will never know the full story, but I brought my own story to life by riding a camel into the Sahara at sunset with some amazing women who love to travel. What a thrill! The whole trip was a transformative experience. I would not change a single thing. Alexis was a wonderful host, and she was supported by an amazing local guide. We stayed in gorgeous riads with unbelievable tile designs, ornate woodworking, and luxurious rooms. We ate phenomenal meals and got to know the people and heart of Morocco. There were so many beautiful sights and colors that I could not take enough photos to capture it all. I highly recommend Morocco, and Damesly, to satisfy any travel dreams you may have. This trip gave me a "life high" that I will carry with me forever.

I stumbled on Damesly and a NYT interview of Kelly as I was searching for Hawaii trips. I was so surprised to see that there was one spot left and booked it immediately. I was in a toxic job at the time and felt stuck. What attracted me to the trip was that I had never been to Hawaii before and wanted to meet other like-minded women while I figured out "what's next" for me. The trip was just what I needed. We learned how to surf, we hiked, we did yoga and meditated. But what I loved most about the trip was the company of the attendees--we came to the trip as strangers from different backgrounds and life paths and throughout the trip we got to know each other and learn from each other. It was amazing! On one of the coaching sessions with Maya, we talked through the concept of "ikigai", which is the alignment of what we are passionate about, what the world needs, and what others are willing to pay for. I came home with some great notes from that session and took it to heart and worked on it all last year. It's been almost a full year since that trip and I've since quit my old job, started a new one that is much more aligned to my personal/professional values about 7 months ago, and I also launched a business/project that has been a passion/idea for SO long! I just needed the clarity and confidence to make it all happen and this trip and the women on this trip played a really integral role in that journey for me.

So lets talk about Morocco. I was originally intriqued by Damesly's Egypt trip (lets be real, I see that one in my future too) but when I was looking through the website I kept coming back to Morocco. Its a place I probably wouldn't have though to visit, and could never feel safe visiting on my own. This trip was the perfect balance of activity and experiences and time to rest. The beauty of this type of trip as that I could go in with few worries, expectations or plans and just enjoy myself! We covered so much ground, I had no idea that Morocco was so geographically diverse. We saw red rock mountains, rolling green countryside, forests and desert. The things that I got to experience I could never have done on my own, there was a lot of driving on this trip but it was broken up and well worth it since we covered so much of the country. I took so many pictures, we are talking 4000+ pictures. Everything was stunning, from the historical buildings, to the tile work everywhere, to the landscape. I'm introverted and shy, but our Damesly guide, Kelly, quickly got me talking and out of my shell. This trip is 100% worth the money, when I was on the trip I actually thought about what a good value it was seeing as how we had a comfortable van, a wonderful driver, local guide and Damesly guide the whole 11 days as well as wonderful hotel accomodations each night. And lets talk about the food! As someone who would consider myself a picky eater, I was worried about what I was going to eat while I was there. I loved the food, absolutely loved it! Couscous, tagine, pastilla, things I would have never tried here in the States. So here is my recommendation, go on this trip! Go on the March tour if you prefer cooler weather to hot weather (so glad I went in March), leave a lot of room in your suitcase for beautiful things you didn't even know you needed until you saw them, and make sure you've got a lot of photo storage on your phone!

What an amazing trip! Kelly and Bryn did amazing jobs, and I came back with a lot of awesome photos. This is the best way to visit Antelope and Grand Canyons. Thank you to Kelly for organizing everything, and thank you to Bryn for all the great photography tips and and being one great trip leader! Looking forward to doing it again!

My recent trip with Damesly to Cuba was incredible! I had alot to learn about Cuban culture and history and I'm so ecstatic to share that I got that and much, much more. Where do I start? From our warm and gracious tour guide to the organized daily itinerary, it was truly an experience for the books. I loved being able to meet local Cubans (who are so kind and hospitable) and enjoy their delicious food as well as enjoy beaches, salsa dancing and art/history/music/nightlife! I definitely recommend to all adventurous female travelers to make time to visit this beautiful country but to also try join the Damesly group because it's safe, fun, and organized so well. Thank you Kelly and everyone for creating fantastic memories that I will cherish for a lifetime.

I had an amazing experience with Damesly on this tour! Bryn Silverman, our trip leader and photography guru, is the most delightful human ever and masterfully explained the art of photography to the group in our first workshop Friday night. Even though everyone’s experience (and camera equipment) varied, she was able to meet everyone where they were at and help everyone improve right from the start. We put our skills to the test as we traveled through beautiful Sedona, the Grand Canyon, Horseshoe Bend, and Antelope Canyon. I never knew I needed to see anything but the Grand Canyon (first-timer here!) but I’m so glad we hit all these places. Kelly put together such a seamless tour to fit in all these spectacular sites over two days, as well as some cute stops for meals and shopping along the way. The weekend was full of stunning views and wonderful company - it was great getting to know our diverse group of awesome women. Must also shout-out our local guides at the Grand Canyon and Antelope Canyon. Molly with Above and Beyond Grand Canyon Tours is an absolute wealth of knowledge and so so fun to have as a private tour guide, and Max, our Navajo guide at Antelope Canyon, made the experience of maneuvering this beautiful slot canyon so very authentic and interesting. So, not only did we get professional photography lessons throughout the weekend from Bryn, we also learned everything we could ever want about this amazing part of the world. Would 100% recommend this trip with Damesly and I'm already looking forward to my next one :) :)

Morocco is magic, there is no other way to put it. There are a million reasons you should go experience Morocco and if you have any inkling you want to go I say GO. But more than anything you need to go with Damesly. I would not have ever gone to Morocco on my own, I wouldn't have known where to start but Damesly gave me the permission I needed to go. I didn't have to worry about a single detail, I didn't have to worry about a language barrier and most importantly I didn't have to worry about being safe. Damesly let me show up and focus on making memories as you should on a trip. I know all the questions and concerns in your head, I had them all myself. Is this company trustworthy? Are the people going to be normal? Is this going to feel like I'm being marched around the country without getting to experience what I want? This trip was everything I could have hoped it would be. I knew from day one that this group of women was the right group to travel with. We are all every different and yet somehow we all formed a friendship quickly. Everyone was accepting of each other, supportive of each other and up for the adventure at hand. It's almost like in a family, everyone brings something different to the table but life wouldn't be as full if you were missing one of the members. This was not a trip of "influencers" or high maintenance women, every day was not a fashion show and we didn't spend an hour getting just the right shot. I think I was the most nervous about that because while I like to be cute, I'm just a regular girl and didn't want to spend a trip feeling less than. Ironically I packed the biggest bag and the most outfits but the only time I felt bad was when the guys had to help me carry my bag up flights of stairs. (please be kind to the guys and yourself and pack in smaller bags, trust me) All that being said, this group of women was awesome! We all supported each other taking photos of each other at just the right angle or encouraged each other to get in just the right pose (let that shaw billow in the wind girl!) I have some of my favorite shots of myself because someone else kindly took it of me and that's a gift I can never say thank you enough for. I left this trip in love with Morocco, hoping to go back in the future to experience more. The people were all so welcoming, the food was unbelievably good and I still find myself looking back at pictures mesmerized by the beautiful details. I can't thank Kelly enough for setting up this trip and helping me see one more corner of the world.

I've been dreaming of traveling the world all of my life but was always waiting for the "right time." Last spring, my college roommate texted me and said, "do you want to go to Morocco?" In the midst of life changes, and 100% against my usual operating life procedures, I said "Yes!" and booked with Damesly. If I could go back, I would do EXACTLY the same thing again. It was the beginning of life as I now know it, excited for my next adventure with the women I connected and traveled with. Now, let me tell you, I'm a loner by nature and very much an introvert so I was pretty apprehensive about traveling with strangers and strange women at that! I never imagined that I would meet Kelly (trip leader) and immediately feel like we were old friends... and that each woman who I met on this trip would become one of those people I now consider a lifelong friend. Okay- enough about that piece...let's move on to the actual trip: 1). Travel itinerary and communication from Kelly prior to, during, and after our trip was clear, often, concise, and helpful. 2). Our driver and tour guide in Morocco were amazing; explaining the food, culture, customs, and answering 101 questions every day, along with jokes, laughter, and excellent driving in a very comfortable, air conditioned, never ending bottled water, snacks, and creature comforts van. 3). The cities. Just. Book. Your. Trip. We spent time in each of the big cities, as well as some amazing smaller villages along the way. Some of my favorites: a). Fes. We had a local city guide here and she was basically the queen of the city. She knew everyone, it seemed, and we were able to shop, (barter- she was super helpful here!), learn about the city as we walked through the city. I want to return just to see more of Fes with her. b). Marrakech. Another local city guide took us around and explained the history and significance of each site as we toured the city and its many wonders. I loved it here!! c). Chefchaouen. The City of Blue. So much beauty! So many cats! 4). The Sahara Desert. People, if you're still reading and you haven't decided that this is the right trip for you, the Sahara is one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen, in photos or with my own two eyeballs. It was breathtaking! I often dream about the dunes, the sound of nothing, the smell and feel of the sand, and that sunset I experienced while sitting on top of a perfect sand dune ridge, after my transport to that magical place on a camel. It was a darn near religious experience and I'm 100% heathen. Once the sun went down, just before the moonrise, the stars were so bright and so close it felt like I could reach out and touch them. 5). Lodging. Easy, peasy. Comfortable, safe, clean, and every place we went had the most delightful breakfast spread. Wifi at each place worked well, I was able to FaceTime and Video Message people back home easily. 6). Food. I love food and I'm fairly picky. It was so good everywhere. I came back with spices (from the spice market!) to try and recreate some of the food we ate...lots of tagine and so much variation of that dish, couscous to die for, and kabobs too! I liked how the food changed with the region...even though it was still these main dishes, the flavor profiles were slightly different. Delicious. I realize I'm writing a novel here and there is still so much to tell you! I'll wrap up with this: Just go. But go with Damesly. Kelly was an amazing trip leader, there were times that we laughed so hard together that we cried. I've been home for a month now, and I'm still daydreaming about the 10 days I spent in Morocco with this group of awesome, funny, adventurous women. There was time to be alone, to zone out and read while in the van, to take a nap in the afternoons if you wanted, to be social and laugh, to learn about a culture not my own. I think often of those evenings, with the call to prayer in the background, drinking tea with these women, talking about our day, our thoughts, our lives. Damesly travel not only afforded me the ability to experience a new corner of the world but also, gave me three new lifelong friends and that is priceless. I am grateful and excited for another adventure.

I just got back from a wonderful tour in Morocco with Damesly. This was my first group tour and I feel it was a great intro for this type of travel. Within 10 days we traversed the mountains, valley, dessert, ocean and cities of the beautiful country of Morocco. The level of luxury and care exceeded my expectations.

Hi. If you're reading this, that means you're thinking about pulling the trigger on a Damesly trip to Morocco. Do yourself a favor: DO. IT. I had always been thinking about visiting Morocco, because after seeing photos of it, how can you not? I found out about the Damesly trip early this year and decided to book it as a present for myself after getting a new job. I had a few misgivings — typically I like to be in charge of my travel itinerary and I wasn't sure about traveling with a group of people I didn't know. Let me tell you — it was absolutely fking incredible. I blew in late on the day of arrival and met everyone for dinner for some of the most incredible tagine I've ever experienced. We all did the whole get-to-know-you chat thing, and everyone was so friendly and so chill, with a down to earth sense of humor.. It immediately put me at ease. It was a really small group [just four of us, plus Kelly] which I really liked, because we were a cohesive unit for the entirety of the trip. There was a lot of time spent in the [very comfortable, air-conditioned, and water-stocked] van with our driver and guide, but we passed the time easily by talking about random stuff, dozing, or watching the landscape change. That was one of my favorite things about the trip — it had far surpassed my expectations of being flat and brown — there were some serious mountain ranges, rolling hills that almost looked like the Italian countryside, farms, and stunning gorges. We spent a fair amount of time in cities [Marrakech! Fes! Chefchaouen!] and some spectacular time in the desert. For me, the highlights were equally split between: a] the time in Erg Chebbi, trekking over the red sand dunes by camel. You do so around sunset, so the colors are vibrant and golden and otherworldly. The camp was utterly gorgeous — individual tents with bathrooms! and showers! and beds! and everything was decorated with moroccan lamps and candles and carpets. It honestly looked like one of those insane images you see on instagram where you're like 'of course it'll never be that cool in real life' but it ACTUALLY IS. 2] Fes. We had an incredible guide, a local woman, who was like the mayor of the medina because everywhere we wandered in those alleyways, people would greet her and shake her hand. She brought us on a tour of a lot of the different artisan shops and we got to see how leather was made, how textiles were woven, and how ceramics were painted and glazed. And yes, we all bought a TON of stuff. Carpets? Yes. Lanterns? Also yes. Blankets made of agave silk which are shiny and luxurious? Definitely yes. Did we haggle and get really good prices on everything? With help, but most assuredly yes. d] Chefchaouen. The blue city is like the Instagram capital of the country, and while kind of overrun with tourists, it's a ridiculously photogenic place. Every corner you turn is more beautiful than the last. Pro tip: wake up mad early [like sunrise early] and get out there to photograph yourself and all the doorways and all the kittens before it gets too crowded. Other random highlights: visiting a traditional hammam and being scrubbed within an inch of your life by a very enthusiastic woman, and coming out feeling shiny and clean with a new lease on life. Monkeys in a cedar forest. Learning pieces of history and trivia by local guides on tours. The doorknockers, everywhere. The riads with fountains and giant plants in the center lobby. The tilework. Visiting and patronizing women-owned and operated businesses. Berber pizza. Dipping your toes into the finest, softest sand in the Sahara. Learning how to tie a headscarf in the traditional Touareg style. Getting to know four new friends and joking about everything [and I -do- mean everything]. Lastly, KELLY. Who is amazing. Her spirit and energy are boundless, and she knows how to take the best photos, and the best group selfies. So, if you've read this far I can only hope you've been convinced that this is the trip of a lifetime, because it is. GO TO MOROCCO WITH DAMESLY.

Loved it, both guides, Retha and Lidyz went above and beyond making us feel welcome and taken care of. The itinerary was eclectic, very informative and a true adventure, just what I was looking for. Our experience gave me an insight into the true Cuba, a perspective I might not have acquired on another tour. Thank you, an experience I'll never forget.
